Graduate!

I can not believe that Kambree is already done with Kindergarten. It seems like it was just barely the first day of school. On Wednesday, May 21st, they had a little graduation. It was so cute. They sang two cute songs and then they even did a chime bell number. I was amazed that they could get all of those kids to play their bells and that it actually sounded like a song. Kambree had fun on her special little day and now she even says she is excited for first grade to start. Now I just have to figure out how I can get excited for that. I am beginning to think it may be harder for me than Kindergarten was because then she will be gone all day. It is crazy how fast they all grow up.

Who is the biggest kid?

A couple of days after Averi was born Courntey decided to break out the water guns (thank you Jones family) and go play with the kids. They all ended up soaked but they had so much fun playing with dad. I am not so sure my mom thought it was so fun though. She had just mopped all of my hard floors (which takes like 1 1/2 hours) 2 days prior. Courtney couldn't even make it outside before he started having the water fight. Of course, I am not so sure how fair it is when your opponents, my mom and I, don't even get any of the water guns.

Announcing Averi

Averi has arrived

Here I am with my giant belly the day before Averi was born. I was scheduled to be induced on Monday, May 5. I of course thought I would go on my own before that but evidently I was wrong again. The hospital called at a little after 5:00 am on Monday and told us to be there by about 6:15 and they would get it all started. We called Courtney's mom and she came over to watch the kids. We headed to the hospital, although we were a little late (imagine that). I got all hooked up and they were happy to see that I was having a few contractions of my own. It was about 7:45 when they broke my water and started a bit of pitocin. Now the nurse told me then that I should start thinking about getting my epidural. For some reason I am a bit stubborn and for some reason I feel that I should be in pain for a while. I asked for and got my epidural at about 9:45. I was freaking out because now I didn't feel the contractions in my belly but I could still feel all of the pressure and I could feel and move my legs. At this point they decide they better check me--I was an 8. They tried to sit me up and give me another little boost of epidural in hopes of getting me more comfortable-but I was complete. A couple of pushes and she was out. She was born at 10:05 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 inches long. She is beautiful, and we are so excited to welcome her into our family. The kids are going to love her to death I am afraid. They want to hold her constantly. I was really worried at how Rylan would react but he has been amazing with her--always hugging and loving on her. Kambree and Jaxon are both so sweet with her and I can already see what big helpers they are going to be to me.

Happy Birthday, Kambree

Kambree turned 6 years old on May 2. We had such a good time. She was so excited to take treats in to her Kindergarten class. I got to take her to lunch at her place of choosing, so we went to Red Lobster for crab legs. It is her favorite! (as you can tell she doesn't have expensive taste at all) It was fun to spend some one on one time with her especially with the new baby on the way. Later that night we took her to her school carnival and the family got to play together there. We continued the celebration on Sunday when we had cake and ice cream with family and friends. She is such a joy in our lives and we truly can't believe how time has flown.
